Market Street Shops of Dalton, a 173,430 square-foot, predominantly outlet shopping center, signed Kani Japanese Steakhouse to 4,500 square feet, Foxy Nail Salon to 1,800 square feet, Elegant Home Furnishings to 5,035 square feet, and Mountain Creek Harley-Davidson to 30,000 square feet. These combined deals have increased the center’s occupancy rate from 70% to 94%. Mimms foresees the signing of Mountain Creek Harley-Davidson, the new anchor tenant, to be a major traffic driver and sales volume contributor to the shopping center’s dollars per-square-foot sales projections. Kani Japanese Steakhouse, one of only two traditional Japanese restaurants in Dalton, adds a unique dining element to the shopping center’s tenant mix. Market Street Shops of Dalton currently houses two restaurants, the other being Outback Steakhouse.

Mimms Enterprises purchased Market Street Shops of Dalton in September of 2004. Built in 1990, the property is also anchored by WestPoint Home, a leading manufacturer and marketer of bed and bath home fashions. Other prominent outlet stores include, Carter’s, Bass, Rack Room Shoes, Dress Barn and Nautica.
