Atlanta Commercial Real Estate Company Rolls Into Tampa

Friday, March 14, 2008 - ATLANTA, Ga.—(Feb. 12, 2008)—Atlanta, Ga.-based Mimms Enterprises has entered the Tampa market, purchasing Bloomingdale Hills Shopping Center, a shopping center in Riverview, just a few miles from Tampa.

Built in 2002 and anchored by Albertsons grocery store, the 78,686-square-foot development is 100 percent leased by St. Joseph Children’s Hospital of Tampa, quality retail shops, including national chains.

“We’ve been expending a lot of our energy growing in the Southeast, searching and evaluating assets that matched our current need for a stabilized, cash flowing shopping center,” said Brad Shoemaker, Director of Marketing. “Bloomingdale Hills was the perfect opportunity to purchase a quality, stabilized property that matched up with this need.”

Bloomingdale Hills marks the second Florida shopping center for Mimms. In 2007, they purchased the Publix-anchored Island Park Shopping Center in Ft. Myers, and recently developed and sold a build-to-suit retail property in Jacksonville for American Backyard.

Mimms also owns four shopping centers in Tennessee, and numerous properties throughout Georgia.

Mimms Enterprises is a fourth generation family-owned commercial real estate developer based in Roswell, Ga. Mimms specializes in the construction, redevelopment, and leasing and management of retail, industrial and office properties. The company’s portfolio totals 6.1 million square feet with approximately 575 tenants. For more information, visit www.mimmsenterprises.com.
